M7 supports major portfolio tenant on their solar initiative
On behalf of Corebox Lichfield Ltd, M7 Real Estate is pleased to announce its support for their largest portfolio tenant, a prominent organization in Fradley Park, Lichfield, as they install 1560 solar panels on their roof.
Fradley Park is one of the most high-profile and well-established distribution parks in the West Midlands, hosting several notable businesses including DHL, Screwfix, and Norgren. It offers a prime location with options for both ready-made facilities and customised developments. Situated at the nexus of the UK’s motorway network, it is just 4.5 miles away from Junctions T4 and T5 of the M6 Toll Road. The 397,000 sq ft unit was constructed in 2003 and forms a modern, high-specification warehouse facility, including 25 dock-level loading doors, six level access doors, and 15m eaves.
The installation of the solar panels generates an impressive 650 kilowatts through eight direct current converters, playing a crucial role in our mission to reduce carbon footprint and champion eco-friendly initiatives. The property’s EPC, currently standing at a commendable C, is poised for an impressive upgrade to an A or A+ following the upcoming reassessment.
Will Mitchell, Director at M7 Real Estate, commented: “Shortly after we acquired the asset, the tenant demonstrated their positive carbon reduction commitment and green agenda, so it is great to see their solar installation project completed. We are keen to support more tenants on their ESG journeys across our portfolio, and we have further solar panel projects lined up for 2024.”
