M7 appoints Tony Edgley as Non-Executive Chairman

London, 12 February 2019 – M7 Real Estate (“M7”), the pan-European investor and asset manager, has appointed Tony Edgley as non-executive chairman. Tony succeeds Hugh Ellingham who has taken up an executive role with the Group as CEO of the newly formed M7 Developments.

Tony Edgley brings over 40 years of UK and international real estate experience to M7 and joins after almost eight years as a partner at Brockton Capital, where he was responsible for originating and leading c.£2.25 billion gross of multi-sector transactions through the full life cycle of acquisition, re-development, asset management, through to sale. Prior to Brockton Capital, Tony spent over 10 years as the managing director of Jones Lang La Salle Corporate Finance Ltd, advising global clients across a range of disciplines including equity raising, fund construction, M&A, joint venture partnerships and debt advisory.

Richard Croft, Chief Executive Officer of M7 Real Estate, commented: “Following on from Hugh Ellingham’s move to a full executive role within the Group, we are delighted to welcome Tony to the board as non-executive chairman. Since Hugh joined the firm in 2014, the Group has grown substantially across all metrics and his role in that cannot be overstated. Tony has been a friend and confidant of the firm since its formation and is a natural choice to provide leadership and advice as the firm continues to evolve. I am looking forward to working with them both in their new roles.”

Tony Edgley commented: “2019 marks M7’s 10th anniversary, a major milestone for the business and an exciting time to be joining the team. M7’s continued success is testament to its long-standing track record across Europe and its specialism in targeting value-add, multi-let real estate investments on behalf of a growing and global client base. I look forward to working with the board in the next stage of M7’s growth.”
