M7 Real Estate opens office in Hanover and appoints Harriet Ziegler

Frankfurt, 6 November 2017 – M7 Real Estate (M7), the pan-European investor and asset manager specialising in the regional multi-let real estate market, announces that it is further expanding its presence in Germany with the opening of an office in Hanover, its fifth in the country. M7 is delivering strong growth in its German real estate portfolio, which has a current value of around €1.4 billion across 189 properties.

Harriet Ziegler has been appointed to head up the new Hanover office and to oversee the management of the Onyx portfolio in northern Germany, M7’s joint venture with Blackstone. Harriet will also be responsible for the recruitment and management of a local team, and will report directly to M7’s Managing Director in Germany, Alyssa Huse.

Prior to joining M7, Harriet Ziegler spent seven years as a Senior Asset Manager at Silverton Asset Solutions, where she was responsible for managing properties in a number of non-performing loan portfolios. Harriet’s role included the acquisition, operational asset management and the sale of individual commercial properties for clients including both UK and US private equity companies and banks. Earlier in her career, Harriet held positions managing a local office for Hochtief in Cologne and leading a property management team for JLL in Frankfurt. Harriet Ziegler holds a degree in finance and is a qualified specialist in business administration in the real estate and housing industry.

Alyssa Huse, Managing Director of M7 in Germany, commented: “The opening of an office in Hanover further strengthens our already sizeable presence in the German market, which is a strategically important market for M7. Around a quarter of M7’s total portfolio is located in Germany where the real estate market continues to deliver a robust performance. I look forward to working with Harriet as we continue to grow our footprint.”
